Ellwood Animal Hospital, Staffed and Open for Pet Care Needs

Ellwood Animal Hospital is operating and remaining open, under the guidelines set forth by state and national regulatory agencies.

The office and staff are still working diligently to provide veterinary care for your pets in need, with urgent care problems and those that need ongoing care to alleviate pain and/or suffering. We have also been advised to provide zoonotic and parasite control, so if you have a pup or kitten which needs a Rabies vaccine or tick removal, we will see your pet.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, we have implemented stringent infectious disease preventive practices. In order to minimize potential exposure for owners and staff, we will schedule based on priority of urgency, under the following guidelines:

  1. Call our office at 724-758-8882 before bringing your pet to the office, for complete arrival instructions.
  2. Upon arrival, stay in your vehicle, call us, and a staff team member will instruct you on your next steps.
  3. If you or someone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19, please be sure to inform our staff when you call, so our Doctors can determine safe handling or alternate telemedicine services.

The internal laboratory, x-ray, pain management and physical therapy are operating.

Pet owners may obtain ongoing medications and refills, but please phone your orders ahead of time and phone, again, when you arrive for pick up of scripts and refills.
