Bruce L. Drotleff Sr., 64, of Slippery Rock Twp. passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at his home from an apparent heart attack.
Born February 28, 1956 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late William and Anna Mae (Householder) Drotleff. He was married to Karen Tanner Drotleff for 18 years as they were married September 15, 2001. She survives.
Bruce worked for PA Department of Transportation out of Lawrence County. He was also a self employed farmer. He loved farming, especially making straw, hay and grain and raising chickens. He enjoyed gardening. Bruce also enjoyed neighborhood pool parties and helping family and friends. His favorite times were spent with his children, grandchildren and his dogs; Ruby and Zuri.
In addition to his wife, Karen, survivors include two daughters, Tamara (Mike) Drotleff of New Waterford, Ohio, Emily Drotleff at home; one son, Bruce L. (Hannah) Drotleff Jr. of New Castle; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Drotleff and Landon and Grace Shaw; three sisters, Renee (Carl) Shirey of New Castle, Lynn Doone of Fairfax, Virginia, Robin (Rick) Arrow of League City, Texas;and a brother, Barry Drotleff of Dunsville, Virginia
Bruce deserves a beautiful tribute. However, we appreciate in this unknown time with the COVID-19 pandemic that attending a visitation may not be in your best health interest. A private service will be held. A Celebration of Bruce’s life will be announced at a later date. Please be with us in prayer.
