Elizabeth Lucille Gleghorn Huston, 98, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 at her home in Enon Valley. She was born October 11, 1921 in Mt.Jackson to the late John A. and Esther (Reed) Gleghorn. She was married to Wayne E. Huston who preceded her in death.
Lucille, also known as Libby Lou, was a graduate of North Beaver High School in Mt. Jackson and a 1943 graduate of Jameson Hospital School of Nursing in New Castle, working many years as a Registered Nurse. She was an active member of the Edinburg Christian Church and enjoyed writing letters, sewing, gardening, and watching Lawrence Welk every week. Her greatest accomplishment was being a Wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include one son, Wayne Eugene (Betsy) Huston Jr. of Campbell Hill, IL; four daughters, Nola Dugan of Surprise, AZ, Marilyn Huston of Fallston, Alice Byler of New Castle, Nancy Bostaph of Burton, MI; seventeen grandchildren, sixty four great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Roy Allan and Lee Huston as well as four brothers and one sister, one grandson and one great grandson.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the Bethel Church on Tuesday at 11 am with Pastor John McCready officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Church Cemetery.
