Local Woman’s Agency Offers Insurance, Financial Planning Services

Lori Biddle-Berendt has a deep belief in old school customer service.

You know that type of place where when you walk in, you feel at home. When you call, you get to talk to a person instead of a machine. Where you almost feel comfortable enough to take off your shoes and kick up your feet.

That’s just how Biddle-Berendt runs her Farmers Insurance Agency. For Biddle-Berendt, building trust and a relationship with her clients is what has brought her success in the financial industry. She spends time sitting down with her clients and working with them to secure their financial futures.

“You have to be able to have that trust in someone,” she said.

Biddle-Berendt, born and raised in Ellwood City, is happy to have her business based in Ellwood. Her agency is located at 2425 River Road.

She is joined by her daughters, Michelle Seaburn and Nikki Jeannette, who round out her agency. She said all of their experience combined allows her agency to offer clients a giant list of financial services including insurance coverage for auto, home, renters, landlord, life, toys (quads, motorcycles, etc.), umbrella, business as well as financial planning services, retirement planning, and 401k rollovers.

“They have brought a lot to the agency,” she said.

The family team offers services to consumers and businesses big and small.

Biddle-Berendt became interested in insurance sales when her agent at the time said she would be good at it. She had been recently laid off and decided to take a chance. Beginning as a Nationwide Financial agent, she self-studied and grabbed a hold of any training opportunities that came her way. She worked her way through her studies and became licensed in property and casualty insurance, life and health as well being securities licensed.  Daughters Michelle and Nikki worked as agents selling home and auto insurance for Erie Insurance before joining Biddle-Berendt.

“The family dynamic works out really well,” she said.
