Donald Shoaf Sr., 89, formerly of North Beaver Twp. passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Edison Manor following a lengthy illness.
Born March 6, 1930 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Ruth Shoaf Gibson. He was married to Shirley Mae Shoaf who passed away March 19, 2019.
Donald retired from Babcock and Wilcox, Koppel following 31 years of service. He was a Veteran of the Army serving during the Korean War.
Survivors include three sons, John (Anna) Shoaf of Temecula, CA, Donald (January) Shoaf Jr.of Monaca, Marc (Missy) Shoaf of Koppel; ten grandchildren, Marc (Holly), James, Brad, Madison, Jule and Rebekah, Laura, and Zachary Shoaf and Madi and Catie Glitsch; and one great-grandchild, Gwen Shoaf.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Gibson and a nephew Steven Gibson.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday November 9th from 11 am until the time of the Memorial Service at 1 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Military rites will be offered by the Veterans Honor Guard. Final interment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
