Roberta M. Fatula, 94, of Ellwood City, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Ellwood City Medical Center.
Roberta was born on June 13, 1925 to the late Hugh and Mary Pollack Maxwell. She was married first to the late Floyd Thorpe and later to the late James J. Fatula.
Roberta was a 1945 graduate of the Allegheny General Hospital Nursing School and was a retired Registered Nurse for many years working at Drs. Milton and Aaron Caplan’s office. She was a member of the Beaver Valley Yacht Club and was very active in the local Republican Party.
Roberta is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law: Margaret ( and Richard) Greenwood of Oklahoma City, OK, Kathryn ( and Dr. Dominic) Brandy of Gibsonia, PA, and Mary ( and Rich) McFarland of West Union, OH, as well as eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Roberta Thorpe and her son James Thorpe; as well as her three sisters: Charlotte Twentier, Margaret Maxwell, and Polly Maxwell, and her one brother, John Maxwell.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. at the TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 500 6th Street, Ellwood City on Tuesday, August 13th 2019, with Pastor Ron Follett of Lillyville Church of God officiating.
