Big Shot Bobs (BSBs) has made its debut in Ellwood City.
The ‘House Of Wings’ held their opening night on Monday, June 3 hoping for a decent turnout, and they got more than just that. With over 100 orders, a 90-minute long wait, and when their phone lines became completely unavailable, people started coming into the 2nd Street location, it’s safe to assume Big Shot Bobs will become a town favorite in no time.
BSBs started back in 2007 with a location in Avalon, Pa. Once business began to pick up speed, the founders decided to branch out, opening the second location in 2010 then again in 2015 with more locations.
BSBs is now running a chain of over 20 locations all over Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.
The latest, Ellwood City location, is primarily run by Curt and Katelyn Dominelli and Joe DeSanvo and Randi Myers. Each location is independently owned and operated.
Katelyn works for Howard Hanna real estate and was selling the restaurant when she decided to mention Lawrence County. After some debate on where to place it, either in the New Castle/Neshannock area or Ellwood City , they decided to just do both.
“[Big Shot Bobs] was voted ‘Best Wings in Pittsburgh’ back in 2016,” said Dominelli. “They beat out Quaker Steak and Lube in the final four.”
Big Shop Bobs is not just a wing place. Alongside their wings and the 150 flavors to choose from, they will also be serving sandwiches, subs, salads, and burgers alike. They will be open seven days a week, only offering take out and delivery with a cash-only payment. The BSB founder will be working here the first few weeks after the opening to make sure the new location is running correctly.
