Beginning on June 5, Beaver County residents will be able to drop off their glass items at Brady’s Run Park Recycling Center every Wednesday. The collection will be from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
The Through Beaver County’s Lens: Glass to Glass program will be collecting eyeglasses, sunglasses, and reading glasses that will be used for reuse. Products collected will be then shared with local doctors or will be sent aboard through Mission Vision for use in developing countries. The collection will also accept glass bottles and jars or any colors. Caps, lids, and labels are acceptable. Please empty and clean all containers prior to dropping them off.
Items that will not be accepted are window glass, light bulbs, drinking glasses/stemware, TVs, dishware, ceramics, mirrors, and any other recyclables that are collected on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
