Rosemary A. Cooper, 87

Rosemary A. Cooper, 87, of North Beaver Township passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at her residence.

Born April 11, 1932 in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Mary E. (Pecore) Murphey. She was married to Willis A. “Bill” Cooper for 62 years when he passed away November 29, 2012.

Rosemary graduated from Mt. Jackson High School and the New Castle Beauty Academy. She owned and operated her own Beauty Shop for over 50 years. She was an active member of the Moravia Presbyterian Church, where she served as the Church Treasurer, Elder, and member of the Ladies Circle. Rosemary was a woman of many talents. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, quilting, and painting pictures.

Survivors include three sons, William (Jackie) Cooper of North Beaver Twp., James (Karen) Cooper of New Galilee, Rusty (Lisa) Cooper of Evergreen, Colorado; daughter, Cindy Byers of North Beaver Twp.; 10 grandchildren, Nikki Cooper, Jimmy (Jaclyn) Cooper, Joey (Jackie) Cooper, Josh Cooper, John Cooper, Jacob (Christy) Cooper, all of the New Galilee area, Jason Cooper of Iowa, Anthony (Shiloh) Gennaro of Afton, Iowa, Kayla Cooper of California, Kaytlyn Cooper of Nebraska; and sixteen great grandchildren, Molly, Emma, and Katy Gennaro, Rusty and Piper Fisher, Olivia, Claire and Quinn Cooper, Clint and Ruby Cooper, Braydin, Heaven, and Hunter Cooper, and Clark, Hogan, and Maelyn Cooper.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Nora Elizabeth Cooper in infancy and Patty Knepper, and two brothers, James and Robert “Terry” Murphey.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday May 22 from 5-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street, Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, at 11:00 am with Pastor Charlene Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
