The Borough of Ellwood City is conducting a public open house meeting to review and discuss design development plans and a preliminary engineering report prepared for the Ellwood City Downtown Central Business District Revitalization and Economic Development Project.
This study is for improvements to the portion of Lawrence Avenue between 4th Street and 6th Street.
The public meeting is Tuesday, April 16th at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers of the Borough Building, located at 525 Lawrence Avenue, Ellwood City, PA 16117
Residents and business owners are invited and encouraged to attend.
The design development plans address the need for new storm drainage lines int eh design area, new underground utilities, new street lighting, new sidewalks, and updated landscaping and signage.
The study provides cost figures for the work and how grants can be used to offset almost all the costs for the project.
The meeting tonight is to judge public opinion on the project and to judge whether the project should move forward or not.
Join the revitalization committee on Tuesday to review the plans as the project is presented. The public response is key in determining if we move forward with this needed project.
