Walter E Conner, 75, of Baden passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 at UPMC Passavant Hospital following a short illness.
Born July 1, 1943 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Wilbur Henry and Elsie Maxine Goff Conner. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ann White Conner and a sister, Dorothy Brandon.
Walter retired from Babcock and Wilcox where he was a Hot Metal Handler. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of the Daugherty Twp Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include a daughter, Kelly Ann Riddell of New Brighton; his companion, Sara Unsworth of Baden; two sisters, Elizabeth (Fred) Humphries of Wampum, Catherine Meyer of Illinois; a brother, William P. Conner of Hermitage; two grandchildren, Devon Taylor of Knoxville, TN and Julieanna Riddell of New Brighton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday April 18 from 3 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Military rites will be offered by the Veterans Honor Guard.
