The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.
Activities taking place this week include
MONDAY, MARCH 11
6:30 p.m. – “Classic Book Group for Adults,” the book group will be discussing the book “A Woman in White” by Wilkie Collins.
TUESDAY, MARCH 12
10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. – “Family Laptime,” designed for babies as young as 6 months of age, toddlers, and preschoolers. This is an interactive, family event and features stories, songs, games, finger plays and more. Registration is requested.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13
10:00 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. It is designed to help reduce the stresses of everyday life. All adults are welcome.
3:00 p.m. – “Creative Writing Workshop,” for students in seventh grade and up. The group meets twice a month to share their work and discuss writing tips and techniques.
6:30 p.m. – “How to Catch a Leprechaun,” children will hear a story, play some games and build a trap to catch a Leprechaun if he comes to your house! This program is for kids under 10 and they must be accompanied by a parent.
THURSDAY, MARCH 14
10:00 a.m. – “Preschool Storytime,” for preschoolers 3 to 5 years old. Those participating must be potty-trained. Stories, songs, games and finger plays are featured. Registration is requested.
6:00 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” which meets weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome.
SATURDAY, MARCH 16
10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. – “Tickets for Tamburitzans,” there will be someone in the library to assist you in purchasing Tamberitzan tickets for their upcoming performance at Lincoln High School Sunday, March 31.
SAVE THE DATE
Tickets for the upcoming local performance of the Tamburitzans will be available on Friday, March 15th from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
A program for veterans on available benefits will be at the Ellwood City Area Public Library, 415 Lawrence Ave. at 6:30 p.m. March 19th.
