Florence Chandler, 91, of New Beaver Boro, Wampum passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at her home.
Born October 31, 1927 in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Hinks Stinnett. She was married to Samuel Chandler who passed away April 20, 1978.
Florence was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Chewton where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially with all her nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Survivors include a nephew, Rubin Chandler of Wampum; three great nieces, Lee Chandler of Georgia, Robyn Chandler of New Castle, Angelique Smith of Youngstown, Ohio; one great nephews, Richard (Frederica) Sebree of Georgia; and a host of great great nieces and nephews and great great great nieces and nephews and many special friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Willie Mae Chandler and a niece, Elaine Chandler.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday February 26 from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm at the First Baptist Church in Chewton Her pastor, Rev. Eric Board will officiate. Final interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum.
