Hazel L. Fosnaught, 95

Hazel L Fosnaught, 95, of Wayne Twp.passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Heritage Valley Hospital in Beaver following a short illness.

Born February 8, 1923 in Frisco, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Garnett Lewis Powell. She was married to Eugene W. Fosnaught Sr. for 48 years when he passed away March 17, 1990.

Hazel retired as the store manager from Lawson’s Grocery Store in Ellwood City. She was a member of the Chewton Christian Church and a lifetime member of the Chewton Fire Department Auxiliary. Hazel was an avid Pirate fan and enjoyed crocheting, camping, and collecting owls. Her most cherished time was spent with family.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Blackwell of Frisco, Janet Hottel of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sons, Eugene W. “Fuzzy” (Peggy) Fosnaught Jr. of Darlington, Richard C. Fosnaught of Glendale, Arizona; two sisters, Betty Ippolito of Wampum, Erma Rossi of Tionesta, PA; one brother, William (Georgie) Powell of Chewton; 8 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Hazel was preceded in death by three sisters, Edna Smith, Patty Cox, and Joyce George, and a grandson, Chad Hottel. .

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 24 from 3 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. Stacey Cox will officiate.
