Patty Welsh, 86, formerly of Big Beaver Boro, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Swedish Memorial Hospital in Englewood, Colorado.
Born October 4, 1932 in Big Beaver Boro, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Pearl Baker Crees. She was married to William D. Welsh for 64 years when he passed away June 2, 2016.
Patty will be remembered as a woman with a sweet smile, a gently spirit and a fierce love for her family and friends. She generously gave her time, attention and a listening ear to many who relied on her love and support. Friends and family enjoyed her easy laughter and keen sense of humor.
Patty graduated from Darlington High School in 1951. She was well known in the community as she worked at Golden Dawn, Ferguson Transportation and Blair’s Autobody. She attended Pathway Church in Chippewa for many years and spent hours volunteering her time and talents.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly (Skip) Maxwell of Littleton, CO; son, Bill (Nancy) Welsh Jr. of Lakewood, CO; five grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings, John Crees, Hilda Schwartz and Betty Wall.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday December 12, 2018 from 4-7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the Pathway Church, 239 Braun Rd. Beaver Falls on Thursday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
