Harold Lee “Dutch” Householder, 71, of New Beaver Boro passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown from injuries sustained in a tree stand accident on Sunday.
Born October 29, 1947 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Harold W. and Norma Jane Wilson Householder. He was married to Carol Nulph Householder for 51 years. They shared many amazing adventures together.
Dutch retired with 40 years of service from Cemex (Medusa Cement Co). He served in the US Army, serving a tour of duty in Vietnam as an air traffic controller. An avid sportsman, Dutch enjoyed hunting, backpacking, hiking, and fishing. He was a true Environmentalist and a Good Democrat.
In addition to his wife, Carol, survivors include two sons, T.J. (Billie Jo) Andrews of St. Augustine, Florida, Doug (Kelly) Andrews of Chippewa; two sisters, Kathleen (David) Bencinic of Lakeland, FL, Sharon (Jerome) Stanyard of New Galilee; 4 grandchildren, Kimberly (Ben) McLaren, Doug (Kayla) Andrews, Krystle (Patty) Andrews, Melinda (Brad) Crist; and 5 great grandchildren, Bentley Hoffman, Emery and Leona Andrews, and Joscelyn and Everly Crist. Dutch also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who loved him very much.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Terry E., Kenneth R., and Donald J. Householder.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday November 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 am. with Stacey Cox officiating. Full Military honors will be offered by the Veterans Honor Guard.
