On May 29, 2015 the locally filmed ‘Big Foot The Movie’ was released. The hilarious horror-comedy/yinzer/redneck film was a great success propped by local staging, talent and filming.
It had a cast of locally known actors such as ‘Pittsburgh Dad’ Curt Wootton and Joanie Dodds, while it was filmed by Riverside graduate Jared Show. Fellow Riverside graduate Nathan McGill also stars in the film.
The movie was such a success that the demand for a second movie was put into action.
The second movie is going to start filming at the beginning of 2019, with the same cast and characters. The only difference is the monster they’re going to encounter is no longer Big Foot, but another large apelike humanoid, the Yeti.
Show was quick to jump onto this demand by creating an IndieGoGo page for the movie to receive donations towards the creation of the new suit needed along with other props and necessities involved in the creation of the second movie. By donating, Show is offering things such as DVD’s, Blu-ray’s, and tickets to the movies premiere. These are offered along with the chance to be an extra in the movie or even become named an Associate Producer. All of which come with certain donation amounts. All this information can be found on the IndieGoGo page.
Show graduated at California University of Pennsylvania and proceeded to move out to Los Angeles with friends, where he spent 15 years editing movie previews before the idea struck him to come back home and create a movie on Big Foot.
“Everybody has a story, whether they have seen [Big Foot] or heard of it,” Show responded when asked why he chose to do a movie on Big Foot.
A majority of the money donated will go towards the creation of the Yeti suit that will be much like the one used for Big Foot.

Hey Ellwood. I live in Pottsville, PA, home of Yuengling. I loved your first movie. Did you start making part 2 or is it done? Do you still need donations. I can give you a $1,000. Can I sit in the bar there in a movie scene? I’m in the Pottsville Pyb now writing this. Contact me at jbdblanco1985@gmail.com. Thanks, John B Dreher
