Lynn L. “Pidge” Grinnen, 76, of Wampum passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 following an illness.
Born November 18, 1941 in Wampum, he was the son of the late John and Elsie Cunningham Grinnen.
Pidge graduated from Wampum High School where he played on the 1960 State Champion Basketball Team. He retired from Medusa Cement Company where he was an equipment mechanic for 31 years. He was a former member of the Chewton Polish Club where he played on the pool team. An expert carpenter, Pidge built his own log home. He enjoyed hunting with his brothers. His most cherished time was spent with family.
Survivors include a son, David R. Grinnen of Houston, TX; daughter, Donna Grinnen of Wayne Twp.; three sisters, Hazel Yahn of Harrisville, his twin, Lynda Grinnen of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Judy Butera of Wampum; two grandchildren, Joshua Sturgill and Ashley Grinnen; and one great grandson, Jayden Hasson.
Pidge was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Mae Harper and Jean Kirkwood; and six brothers, Johnny, James Richard, Gerald “Jerry”, Robert, Ralph, and Walter Grinnen..
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday November 1 from 4-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1 pm with Stacey Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
The family wished to extend their special thanks to the staff at Golden Hills Nursing Center and Three Rivers Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.

Deepest sympathies. Pidge was a dear friend to my husband Larry Walls. They played on the Wampum Basketball team together and attended the breakfasts every month. Now the two will be shooting the banter again in Heaven. Prayers for him and the family.
