Keith E. Price, 94, formerly a Castlewood resident for 69 years, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Avalon Nursing Center.
He was born January 13, 1924 in Ellwood City. He was married to Margaret L. Newton Price for 69 years when she passed away September 13, 2017.
Keith retired from Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company following 37 years of service. He was a member and Deacon at the Center United Presbyterian Church. A Veteran of the Navy, Keith served during WWII. He coached the Castlewood Baseball Team in the North County League for 47 years. For his dedication to the sport, Keith was inducted into the Lawrence County Sports Hall of Fame. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing. He also enjoyed bowling.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy Price of Kent, Ohio, Mark (Debbie) Price of Ellwood City; daughter, Cindy Means of Hermitage, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Keith David Price, daughter in law, Judy Price and several brothers and sisters.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday November 2, from 2-4 and 6 until the time of the funeral service at 8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. His pastor, Rev. Dr. James Bibza will officiate. Interment will follow in the Center Church Cemetery.
