Letter From Ellwood City Medical Center Employees

In a submitted letter from Ellwood City Medical Center employees received Wednesday, nearly forty signatures from loyal employees of the Ellwood City Medical Center accompanied the letter asking those in the community to not believe everything heard and to continue to embrace the community hospital as a healthcare provider.

“I am very proud to work with these individuals and many more. We are all dedicated to this hospital and serving our community,” said CEO Beverly Annarumo in an additional statement.

“The easy thing to do would be to turn and run, but the people we have here love this community and the work they do and I agree with them. This is my hospital, I had my kids here and bring all my family here. We are taking necessary steps to ensure that we keep the hospital, while not always popular, they were absolutely necessary,” Annarumo added.

“The employees recognize that this behavior of printing only bad news has got to stop, it is unfair and detrimental to what we are trying to accomplish and could cost them their jobs and the community this hospital,” Annarumo concluded. “I want to thank you for letting their voices be heard, that seems to be all they were asking for.”

Thank you! The same old ‘glass is more than half-empty’ rhetoric endemic to the area needs to go.

  4. I hope the hospital will always be there for us. My mom worked there for 25 years so we have always gone there when we needed medical care. Never had a complaint. The name may be different now but it will always be Ellwood City Hospital to me.

  5. The town is behind you, the town leaders are behind you, and there are physicians and medical professionals that stand behind you, too. At times, we must not only take a stand but follow it with needed steps, for if we only stand, there is no movement. I applaud our Town’s Officials for taking the steps that they are to hold Americore accountable. I applaud all of those who have been working tirelessly in front and behind the scene. Also, I applaud all who have made a stand for the continued integrity and excellence of this facility even though there steps may be misinterpreted as abandonment, so that as Ellwood City Medical Center grows and provides employment and income, it can be a healthcare facility we are proud to have in our community.

How about you pay you make payroll and stop paying your employees with bounced checks or withholding their hard earned paychecks until the following week. Maybe then the negative press will stop. What a joke of an administration.

They make Americore seem like a godsend but he is nothing but a crook and fraud. All they do is lie to everyone snd this meeting will be nothing but falsehoods as well. They made a mistake when they sold to him and if you people keep believing this I have some property to sell you in Florida. Get rid of Americore and the current administration and maybe the hospital will come back.

This meeting was a joke. Grant White just talked in circles and mumbled. I feel bad for the employees that are still there working hard.
