Robert A. Doughty, 88, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, October 2 2018 at the Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle.
He was born in Sewickley PA on April 14 1930 to the late William and Catherine Lindsay Doughty.
He was a veteran of the US Army, serving as a corporal and driver from 1950-52 in the Korean War.
He was a carpenter at Clyde Bartley Construction, and later at Wampum Improvement Co.
Bob enjoyed playing bingo.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary Lou Walters Doughty, who died November 27, 1999.
He also was preceded by a son, Andrew R. Doughty, who died January 2, 2005.
He is survived by one son, Robert W. Doughty of West Pittsburg, and by eight grandchildren.
No public visitation is planned and memorial services later will be private.
