Jane M. Makepeace D’Amico, 81

Jane M. Makepeace D’Amico, 81, of Ellwood City (Wiley Hill, North Sewickley Twp.), passed away peacefully on Saturday,   September 29  2018 at her home.

Jane was born in  Ellwood City  (Wiley Hill) on September 10 1937 to the late Fred Makepeace and the late Nettie Price Makepeace.

She was a 1955 graduate of Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, and worked for Gen Sales and Sumner and Lero  Ford in Ellwood City.    She  enjoyed  crocheting, mainly beautiful afghans and baby blankets.

Jane was an avid  sports fan, loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, and high school sports.  She traveled all over to watch her grandchildren play.

Mainly she loved  all her family, including her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived  by her loving husband of over 58 years,  Herman H. D’Amico, whom she married in December 19  1960.

She also is survived by three daughters:  Cynthia  (and James) Trout of Salix PA;   Toni (and Bruce) Haswell of Ellwood City;  and Amy Dobbin of Canonsburg PA.

Ten grandchildren also survive:  Eric (Amy) Trout,  Adam (Leah) Trout, Philip (Kristen) Trout, and Dan Trout;  Brandon (April) Haswell, Brandi Haswell, and Kayla (Andrew) Guntrum;  Jordan, Chris, and Dario  Dobbin;  as well as     nine great grandchildren:  Lilah, Enzo, and Maddox Trout;  Isla Rose and Hannah Jane Haswell; Emily and  Brooke McCary;  and Teagan Heinz;  and Leo Guntrum.

The last of her family, Jane was preceded by  one brother, George J. Makepeace,  and by two sisters,

Doris P. Lodovico, and  Nora Lee Makepeace, in infancy.  Also preceding was  her brother-in-law, Louis G. Lodovico, and sister-in-law, Mary R. Makepeace.

Private visitation and  funeral  services will be conducted on  Tuesday,  Oct. 2  2018  at the   TURNER FUNERAL HOME. 500 Sixth Street, Ellwood City, with  Pastor Phil Conklin of First of  God, officiating.     Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, near Bridgeville PA.
