Jean M. Hartzel Duncan, 73, of Ellwood City (North Sewickley), passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, September 18 2018 in the emergency department at the Ellwood City Medical Center.
She was born in Ellwood City on April 29 1945 to the late Harvey William Hartzel and the late Marie Minett Hartzel.
Jean was a beautician, and worked for many years at Especially for You salon.
She enjoyed crafting, and in earlier years, enjoyed camping with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Duncan, Sr., who died September 18 2002.
Jean is survived by one sister, Joylee Cook, of Leesville SC, as well as by a sister-in-law, Mardel Hartzel of Ellwood City.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her husband, Jean was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: George and William Hartzel , and Laura I. Halligan.
Friends will be received from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 22 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 500 Sixth Street, Ellwood City. A prayer service will follow at 8:00 P.M. on Saturday evening at TURNERS, with the Rev. Ray Medina, pastor of Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church, officiating.
