Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 resumed their monthly meetings on Wednesday, September 12 at 5:00pm. The session was held at Pizza Joe’s and began with a luncheon hosted by the President, Clemmy Sirimarco and served by Historian, Mary Jane Folino and Sentinel, Lois DiFrischia. The business meeting began with open discussion as changes are needed due to illness, work schedules and relocation. President, Sirimarco, will be leaving the area and remain a member. She requested that the Orator, Valerie Valentino, serve as acting president until the next administrative election in 2019.
Purdue LaCava will remain as a Trustee, requesting that she be relieved of the Secretarial duties. Sentinel, Lois DiFrischia, will assume those duties at this time. Trustee, Patty Regna, will serve as the Treasurer fulfilling the remainder of Jacki Perno’s term. Ester Santilo will serve in the Trustee’s position. Sirimarco expressed her appreciation for the co-operation of all officers and members in the continuation of Corona D’Italia Lodge. She presented the financial reports.
Valentino will serve as chairman of the annual lodge Columbus Day Dinner. She appointed DiFrischia as her co-chairman, and they presented their plans. The dinner will be held on Tuesday, October 9th at 5:00pm at the Wolverine Restaurant. Reservations and dinner selection must be made by Monday, October 1st, by contacting Valentino or DiFrischia. Food choices are stuffed pork chop or stuffed chicken breast dinners. Louise Vitullo and Margaret Cancelli will assist at the dinner.
The monthly fundraiser resumed and tickets are available by contacting Valentino or lodge officers. She presented candy favors to all in attendance and with Emcee, Mary Quintanilla, conducted the social time. The dinner will also be the monthly meeting.
