Dorothy Patricia Vetica White, 94, of North Sewickley Twp. passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at The Grove At Harmony. She was a beloved wife, sister, aunt, great aunt and great great aunt, and godmother.
Born December 24, 1923 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Querino and Pasqualina Condi Vetica. She was married for 62 years to Dale E. White who died May 16, 2018.
Dorothy was a May Class of 1941 graduate of Lincoln High School. She worked at Edmin’s Dress Shop for many years. She enjoyed her work and loved helping her many beautiful customers. Dorothy was a member of Holy Redeemer Church. She and Dale enjoyed traveling to Canada, Florida, and South Carolina to visit their many friends.
Survivors include two brothers, Ray Vetica and Rudy (Phyllis) Vetica both of Ellwood City, and many nieces and nephews of the Vetica and White families.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Alex, Joseph and John Vetica, and a sister, Angela Marie Yanniello; a niece, Alexis Vetica, and three nephews, David A. Yanniello, Thomas M. Vetica, and her little angel, Dennis Michael Vetica who passed away at the age of 3 from Polio.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday June 10 from 4-7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 am at Holy Redeemer Church with Rev. Father Mark Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Peters’ Mausoleum in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
