This New Shop is Smokin’ — New Cigar Shoppe on Lawrence Ave

The Cigar Shoppe located on Lawrence Avenue had its grand opening last weekend. Steve Busby and Rich Yonlisky partnered up to create the first cigar shop located centrally in Ellwood City.

The partners wanted to create a fun atmosphere where people can come and relax while smoking a cigar. The Cigar Shoppe offers a wide variety of cigars and the owners are willing get any type or kind of cigar if they don’t have it.

“I think we have cigars that are not regularly offered around here, as well as popular cigars. We also are willing to get anything in stock that people want if we don’t have it,” Busby said. “I also think our lounge is one of the nicer ones in the area, we offer a friendly atmosphere, with humor and fun intertwined.”

The shop features a nice lounge in the front with a leather couch, leather chairs, table, a television and a humidor filled with cigars. People are also welcome to bring drink; the establishment is a “bring your own beer” location.

The owners felt the area needed a cigar shop. This is the only cigar shop in the area unless people make a 25-30 minute drive out of town.

“I feel like cigar smoking is very popular right now and there are a lot of cigar smokers in the area,” Busby said. “The people who are driving 20 minutes to get a cigar now have a local location.”

The owners wanted to pick a location that was safe, friendly and where people would feel welcome.

“The location of the shop is great and the town is nice,” Yonlisky said. “It’s one of the few towns where you can walk up and down the street without worrying about things.”

The shop is even a friendly place for novice cigar smokers. The owners said they have a cigar for everyone from beginners to experienced smokers.

“We can help people pick out a cigar, they can ask any questions they have and we will answer,” Busby said.  “If you don’t smoke or don’t smoke that much we can help you find what would be a good cigar to start with. We offer a wide range/ variety of cigars and we can find one to fit everyone.”

The Cigar Shoppe is located at 707 Lawrence Ave. The shop’s hours are Monday through Sunday 11 am to 10 pm, people can also follow The Cigar Shoppe’s Facebook page.
