Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 held their monthly meeting at Pizza Joe’s on Wednesday, February 14th.
All in attendance participated in the Valentine lunch served by Purdue LaCava, Lois DiFrischia and Margaret Cancelli. President, Clemmy Sirimarco extended the welcome with Valentine greetings to all. Trustee, Patricia Regna presented a prayerful invocation for all living and deceased members, families and all military personnel. Orator, Valerie Valentineo, presented heart shaped Valentine boxes ofcandy to each member. Trustee, Difrischia, distributed Valentine bags containing cookes made and donated by Carol Gibbons. Appreciation for the gifts was expressed by all the members.
Sirimarco led the business session that followed. The 100th Anniversary dinner held in December was reviewed and recognition was given to Chairman, Vice President, Ann Butchelli and Co-Chairman Orator, Valerie Valentino, for the very successful event. Appreciation was extended to all the officers for their committee involvement. Treasurer, Louise Vitullo, presented the financial reports. Secretarial reports were voiced by Jackie Perno. She also gave an updated on her grandson Ian Patterson, a recent Coronoa D’Italia Scholarship winner, who will be studying in England. Historian, Mary Jane Folino, accepted the history compiled by Butchelli and she will continue the documentation. Mistress of Ceremony, Mary Quintanilla, distributed her photographs of the dinner and the monthly lodge meetings and presented the composition that she has created.
Orator, Valentino, Chairman of the Scholarship committee, presented the 2018 Corona D’Italia Memorial Scholarship applications. Information and forms have been provided to high school counselors by committee members, Guard, DiFrischia and Trustee, LaCava.

A social conducted by Valentino, Difrishcia and Quintanilla concluded the session. The next monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 14, at 5:00pm, at Pizza Joe’s, honoring St. Patrick’s Day with Irish Stew.
