Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following:
Monday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m. – Classics Book Discussion Group for Adults. The group will discuss the book, “Lost Horizon,” by James Hilton. Call the library at 724-758-6458 for more information.
Tuesday, March 13, at 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. — Family Laptime, a weekly program designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. The spring session, which will be held every Tuesday through April 24, features stories, songs, games and more. Registration is requested, so call the library for more information and to register.
Tuesday, March 13, at 4:00 p.m. – The Library’s Anniversary Committee will meet to discuss upcoming activities and fundraisers. New members are welcome. Call the library for more information.
Wednesday, March 14, at 10:00 a.m. — “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. “Coloring for Adults” is a program designed to help reduce the stresses of everyday life. Everyone is welcome, so call the library for more information.
Thursday, March 15, at 10:00 a.m. — Preschool Story Time for preschoolers ages 3 years old and up. The weekly spring session, which will be held every Tuesday through April 26, features stories, songs, games and more. Registration is requested, so call the library for more information and to register.
Thursday, March 15, at 3:00 p.m. – “Just 4 Girls,” a book discussion group for girls in 9th grade and up. The group meets once each month for book discussion and pizza. Call the library for more information.
Thursday, March 15, at 6:00 p.m. — Adult Knitting Group whose members meet weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome, so call the library for more information.
The library will host a special book-signing event on Friday, March 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. for our very own Nancy Wallace, whose third book in the “Among Wolves” trilogy will be released that week. Featured will be a meet-and-greet with the author and refreshments. Call the library for more information.
The March “Movie Night for Adults” will be held on Wednesday, March 28, at 6:00 p.m. Featured are new-to-DVD films and refreshments. Call the library for more information or to discover the title of the film to be shown.
The library will be hosting a fun “Paint Night” fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 27 at the library Those attending will paint a 16 x20 inch canvass and enjoy complimentary wine, cheese and other refreshments. The cost is $35 and space is limited, so call the library now for more information.
