First Baptist Church is bringing two friends this weekend for book signings, meet and greets, spiritual stories of recovery and addiction, and a musical performance.
Pastor Mary Upright and Johnny B aka AXL will be sharing their incredible spiritual stories of recovery and addiction and signing their respective books, “Tell Them for Me” by Pastor Mary and “87 Sundays” by AXL.
The book signings will be at the National Grounds coffee shop on Saturday between 10 and noon and later at Two Rivers Artisan Coffee in New Castle between 2 and 4.
On Saturday at First Baptist Church, 220 Fountain Ave, AXL will be performing his original music and telling his story of a heroin addiction, two years in prison and meeting Jesus. The live concert, book signing and spiritual journey begins at 7:00pm. AXL is a member of the Remnant Sons MC in Columbus Ohio and very active in helping his followers battle addiction.
Also in town this weekend is Pastor Mary Upright. Pastor Mary wrote a book about her abusive childhood as well as being in Remnant Sons of God Ministries. Pastor Mary will be giving the message at First Baptist Church, 220 Fountain Ave, on Sunday starting at 10:30. Worship music will be provided by HealingSong from Ohio. All are welcome to attend.
