Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following:
Tuesday, March 6, at 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. – Family Laptime, a weekly program designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. The spring session, which will be held every Tuesday through April 24, features stories, songs, games and more. Wednesday, March 7, at 10:00 a.m. — “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. “Coloring for Adults” is a program designed to help reduce the stresses of everyday life. Everyone is welcome, so call the library for more information.
Wednesday, March 7, at 3:00 p.m. – Creative Writing Workshop for students in 7th grade and up. The group meets twice each month to share their work and discuss writing tips and techniques. Call the library for more information.
Wednesday, March 7, at 6:30 p.m. – Evening Book Discussion Group for Adults. The group will discuss the book, “Etta and Otto and Russell and James,” by Emma Hooper. New members are welcome, so call the library for more information.
Thursday, March 8, at 10:00 a.m. – Preschool Story Time for preschoolers ages 3 years old and up. The weekly spring session, which will be held every Tuesday through April 26, features stories, songs, games and more. Registration is requested, so call the library for more information and to register.
Thursday, March 8, at 3:00 p.m. – “Just 4 Girls,” a book discussion group for girls in 9th grade and up. The group meets once each month for book discussion and pizza. New members are welcome, so call the library for more information.
Thursday, March 8, at 6:00 p.m. — Adult Knitting Group whose members meet weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome, so call the library for more information.
Saturday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – The Rotary Club of Ellwood City will be at the Library to assist people in purchasing tickets online for the performance of the Duquesne University Tamburitzans scheduled for Sunday, March 25, in the Lincoln High School auditorium. The Rotary club is sponsoring the performance as a fundraiser for the club’s scholarship program. Call the library for more information.
The March “Movie Night for Adults” will be held on Wednesday, March 28, at 6:00 p.m. Featured are new-to-DVD films and refreshments. Call the library for more information or to discover the title of the film to be shown.
