Carol L. Reeder Kotuby, 70, of Ellwood City (North Sewickley Twp.) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Friday evening, January 5, 2018 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
She was born in Beaver Falls on August 30 1947, to the late Ralph and Barbetta “Betty” Seelhorst Reeder.
Carol graduated from Riverside High School in 1965. She attended first, the Edgewood Baptist Church, and later the First Baptist Missionary Church in Chewton.
She worked for many years with her husband at the family’s grocery store, Kotuby’s Shop n’Save in Ellwood City.
Carol loved cooking, but her grandchildren and great granddaughter were her life. Her family was everything to her.
She is survived by her loving husband, George R. “Butch” Kotuby. They were married for 50 years, last July 15.
Also surviving are two daughters: Pamela Weller of Patterson Township; and Kristine Rogers of Wampum; as well as four grandchildren: George, Sarah, Katelyn, and Lindsey Weller; and her great granddaughter, Morgan Weller.
Two sisters also survive: Linda Garen in Texas; and Susan ( and Dennis) Smith of Freedom PA.
Friends will be received from 2-4 P.M. and from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday, January 9, in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 500 Sixth Street, Ellwood City.
Services will be conducted at TURNERS on Wednesday , Jan. 10, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Eric Board of First Baptist Missionary Church of Chewton, officiating.
Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, North Sewickley Twp.
