Ellwood City’s pre-Christmas game against New Brighton, 12/22/2017
Despite Anthony Roth putting 26 points on the board, Lincoln lost to New Brighton 52-50. New Brighton (PA) locked in the win in the fourth quarter on a three pointer from Thomas Kirby.
Despite a strong finish, with 16 points in the final quarter, Ellwood City Wolverines failed to secure the win.
Great play from the field made Roth stand out, as he made 50% (10-for-20) of shots attempted as well as 50% (6-for-12) of threes attempted.
Luca Botti went into double digits, scoring 11 points for Lincoln (3-for-11). Also contributing for Lincoln were Sean Busby (4 points, 10 rebounds, 1 block), Broc Boariu (4 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal), Rick Pitrelli (3 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal), and Ryan Busby (2 points, 3 rebounds).
Lincoln finished the game with 38 rebounds (13 offensive / 25 defensive), one block and six steals.
The teams next game will be against Union Area at Neshannock Gym, tomorrow, Thursday, Dec 28 5:30p.m.
