Leetsdale, PA – Wolverine guard Anthony Roth put 21 points on the scoreboard, but Lincoln fell to Quaker Valley 88-57 Tuesday Night in a relatively high-scoring affair.
Roth led Ellwood City Wolverines offense with 21 points, including 12 during the second period. He also contributed seven rebounds
and one block. Roth spent plenty of time at the charity stripe, connecting on 14 of 16 free throw attempts to boon his scoring total.
Luca Botti achieved double digits, scoring 16 points (7-for-12 shooting), and grabbed six rebounds for the Wolverines in a losing effort.
Also chipping in for Lincoln were Rick Pitrelli (6 points, 2 rebounds), Ryan Busby (4 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block),
Sean Busby (4 points, 9 rebounds, 1 block), Broc Boariu (3 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block), and Rocco Sesti (3 points).
Ryan Stowers led three 20-point scorers for the Quakers, finishing with a game-high 24 points. Coletrane Washington finished with 23 points,
10 rebounds and 6 assists for Quaker Valley whle Danny Conlan connected on four 3-pointers en route to his 21 point effort.
Ellwood City finished the game with 37 rebounds (10 offensive / 27 defensive) and four blocks, but were doomed by 20 turnovers in the contest. The Wolverines next host Springdale Wednesday night at 7:30pm in a non-section contest.
