Glenda L. Altman, 78, of Wampum Rd., New Beaver Boro passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 1, 2017.
Born April 29, 1939 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Glenn E. McDonald and Gertrude E. Smock. She was married for 59 years to Robert Altman who survives.
Glenda was a member of the First Baptist Church on Maitland Lane in New Castle. She has been a member of the New Beaver Fire Department Auxiliary for the past 33 years. Glenda was an avid bingo player and enjoyed camping. Her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially her granddaughters.
In addition to her husband, Bob, survivors include two daughters, Delores (Donald) Lloyd of Pulaski, Laura McDonald of West Pittsburgh; son, Raymond (Renee) McDonald of Wampum; stepmother, Betty McDonald of Wampum; sister, Jessie (Hugh) Hall of Wampum; two brothers, Glenn McDonald of Wampum, Cecil (Judy) Smock of Enon Valley; and two granddaughters, Melissa (Jeff) Foreman of Ellwood City and Bethann McDonald of Wampum.
She was preceded in death by her brother and sister in law, Floyd and Anna Mae McDonald and a sister in law, Diane McDonald.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday December 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am with her pastor, Rev. John Yeargen officiating. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
