Fanny Ottaviani, 87, of Ellwoood City, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly on Sunday evening, October 22 2017 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born in Ellwood City on July 20, 1930, to the late Dimitrios and Vasiliki Santis.
She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Ellwood City. She had worked for years in the clerical department at the Aetna Standard Engineering Co. in Ellwood City.
Fanny was a longtime member of Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City where she sang in the church choir, and was a charter member of the Ellwood City Area Civic Chorale. Fanny also was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Her family was her life.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Frank Ottaviani, whom she married on June 10, 1961. She is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis (and Karla ) Ottaviani of Zelienople. She is also survived by her beloved granddaughter, Lauren Ottaviani.
The last of her family, she was preceded in death by one brother, James G. Santis, and one sister, Alice Brandes.
Friends will be received from 2-4 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. on Thursday, October 26 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 500 Sixth Street, Ellwood City.
Services will be conducted at TURNERS on Friday, October 27 at 11:00 A.M. with her pastor, the Rev. Ray Medina, officiating.
Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ellwood City Area Civic Chorale, or Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church.
