Little Beaver Historical Society Fall Festival

The Little Beaver Historical Society, located at 803 Plumb Street, Darlington PA., 16115, will be hosting a fall festival on September 9 and 10 from 9a.m. – 5p.m.

All of the Society’s buildings including the Greersburg Academy, the Red Brick Museum the McCarl industrial museum, 1820’s log cabin and forge will be open during the festival and free to tour.

Kids activities include an Archeological dig to find Native American arrowheads and then try to identify them at the Red Brick Museum, kids will get to keep 1 arrowhead they find. At the McCarl industrial museum the kids can run the famous pop-can crusher then walk over to the corn sheller, shell some corn, and go to the next machine and turn it into corn meal. They can run the scale model oil field rigs and steam engines, view a large display of early video games and computers some will be operating and get their face painted at Greersburg Academy.

Baked goods, hot sausage, meatball sandwiches, cabbage and noodles, hot dogs, coffee, soft drinks, water, ORAMS Donuts, farm fresh vegetables, cider, apples, straw, flowers, honey, and much more will be for sale at the festival.

Local craft vendors will be set up throughout the downtown Darlington streets.
