Warren Peffer, 75

Warren Peffer, 75, of Perry Township passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 following a long battle with cancer.

Born March 6, 1942 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Marion and Thelma Rupert Peffer. He was married for 48 years to Nancy M. Peffer who passed away November 21, 2016.

Warren retired from BNZ Materials in Zelienople where he was a machine operator. He was an active member and longtime Sunday School teacher at the Wurtemburg United Methodist Church. Prior to that, he attended the Zion Lutheran Church. A Veteran of the US Air Force, Warren served from 1960 to 1964. He enjoyed teaching, building, and flying model aircraft and undertook various leadership roles as a lifetime member of the Butler Aircraft Modelers Society (The BAMS).

Survivors include three sons, Steven (Lori) Peffer of Nashville, TN, David (Karen) Peffer of Dublin, OH, Kevin (Melanie) Peffer of Greeley, CO; two sisters, Velma Hollerman and Diane Young; seven brothers, Glenn, Larry, Tom, Neil, Bob, Dale and Chuck; and three grandchildren, Joshua and Addison Peffer, with the third due in August.

He was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Paul Martin Peffer, and two sisters, Laura Ridenour and Bonnie Nicodemus.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday June 13 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning at 11am after a 10am viewing at the Wurtemburg United Methodist Church with his pastor, Rev. Chad Bogdewie officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
