Timothy A. Houk, a senior from Ellwood City, received a $500.00 scholarship courtesy of the Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 committee.
Son of Tom and Lee Ann Houk, he is employed at the Log Cabin and also involved with the family business, he followed the academic course of study through high school and participated in boys basketball and the History Club and now plans to attend Slippery Rock University to study exercise science.
Ian Patterson, a senior at Lincoln Park Performing Arts School also received at $500.00 scholarship from the organization.
Son of Charles and Cheri Patterson, he is getting ready to graduate from Lincoln Park where he studied as a Musical Theater Student since the eight grade. Over his past five years at the school he has performed in over 30 shows, directed five and worked on countless others in different capacities. He is a 6-year member of the New Castle Playhouse Mini Star, a member of the National Honor Society, Secretary of Student Council, Secretary of his school’s chapter of the International Thespian Society and an International Honor Thespian 0- the highest recognition the society offers – and a 6 time Carson Scholar Award Recipient. This coming fall Ian will be pursuing a four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater.
