Pudue LaCava hosted the Lincoln High School class of 1954 “Nite at the Movies” full committee at her Mt. Vernon Drive home at 2p.m. on Thursday, May 11.
Lunch provided by committee members was served by Ilene Gardner and LaCava. James Spielvogel was honored for his May birthday with a cake provided by Gardner.
Co-Chairman, Paul Abraham, began the business session by commending all the work done by all the committee members. James Gillespie reported on the monthly fund raising and distributed tickets for May. LaCava reported on reservations received to date, noting a 75% return of attendees at the 2016 event. She also shared e-mails received from classmates. Gardner presented correspondences received, many in response to her birthday card mailings.
Clemmy Sirimarco presented the financial report. John and Patty Tino, Chairmen for the Mid-Atlantic and southern states, reported on class members in these area, nothing changes of residences and comments they receive. “Pinky” Maielli, food chairman , reviewed the menu and serving planning. She requests that diets need be directed to her for consideration. Jan Keenan provided information on the pictures that she will be taking at the July 15event. Rosina and Dom Massaro and Bob Valve will assist LaCava with reservations and arrivals at the Ellwood City Saxon Club on the day of the event.
Gardner presented an overall review of her committee’s design and making of the total movie decor that will greet all attendees. She displayed samples and pictures of the total layout. The next committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 14, at 2p.m. at the LaCava residence.
