Ellwood City Wolverines Can’t Hold Up Against Avonworth
Ellwood City Wolverines had trouble keeping up with Avonworth in a 7-3 loss on Tuesday.
Avonworth captured the lead in the first inning. Brandon Cerminara drove in a run when he walked with the bases loaded.
Avonworth took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth there was an error, scoring one run, there was an error, scoring one run, and Jacob Gustic singled off of Max Keally, driving in one run.

Riverside Panthers Varsity Grabs Lead in Sixth Inning for Victory Over Beaver Falls
Riverside Panthers Varsity took the lead late and defeated Beaver Falls 5-3 on Tuesday. The game was tied at three with Riverside Panthers Varsity batting in the top of the sixth when Will Yasenka singled off of Veon, driving in one run.
Riverside Panthers Varsity earned the victory despite allowing Beaver Falls to score three runs in the fifth inning. Beaver Falls’s big inning was driven by a single by Mike Filauri and a single by Brickner.
Riverside Panthers Varsity took an early lead in the second inning. Riverside Panthers Varsity scored one run on a stolen base in the second inning.
Beaver Falls knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the fifth inning. An error scored one run for Beaver Falls.

Gunnar Boehm earned the win for Riverside Panthers Varsity. He threw two and a third innings, giving up zero runs, zero hits, striking out four, and walking one. Veon took the loss for Beaver Falls. He pitched five and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs, seven hits, striking out six, and walking one.
Cristian Cicchinelli started the game for Riverside Panthers Varsity. He pitched four and two-thirds innings, surrendering three runs, six hits, striking out four, and walking one.
Riverside Panthers Varsity had seven hits in the game. Austin Dambach and Boehm each collected multiple hits for Riverside Panthers Varsity. Boehm and Dambach each collected two hits to lead Riverside Panthers Varsity. Riverside Panthers Varsity tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Dambach led the way with two.
