Borough Notice – Online Bill Pay Suspended

According to information made available by the Borough of Ellwood City this afternoon, and effective Monday, May 1st, the borough online bill pay will be suspended temporarily during a software conversion process.

All utility payments must be made by cash, check, credit card or money order utilizing the mail, drop box or window service.

The borough apologizes for any inconvenience.

  1. Will the service be restored May 2?

The report say “All utility payments”. How does this effect auto-pay?

Are there any changes required of residents?

  2. How many excuses will be made why ” I didn’t pay my bill” or it is late! I can almost bet that many will have trouble using the U.S mail system or for some crazy reason their car is broke and they are unable to go up town to pay a bill but certainly can buy a pack of smokes

  3. The problem is, those of us who normally pay online do not get paper bills, and, as far as I can see, there’s nowhere online to view the bill. Guess we’re all going to be calling or going to the office to make sure we don’t get that warning notice for a bill we never got and have something like 10 days to pay. And, since the office is open something like three or four hours each day, that’s super convenient for those of us who work.
