Anna M. Weingartner, 99, formerly of Ellwood Rd., passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 24 at the Clepper Manor in Sharon.
Born March 19, 1917 in Ellwood City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles S.and Clara Kocher Weisz. She was married for 64 years to William Fred Weingartner who passed away February 24, 2003.
Anna was a member of Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church and a member of the church’s former Naomi Circle. She also volunteered with the Ellwood City Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Deanne (Chip) Kissick of Hermitage, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, James in 1999; and a grandson, Craig Weingartner. The last of family, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Pearl Weller, Bernice Miller, Ida Hazen; and brothers, Daniel, Howard, Sam, and William Weisz.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday December 27 from 1 pm until the time of the funeral service at 2 pm at Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church. Her pastor, Rev. Julia Williamson will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
