Say Hello to Hello Fitness

After lots of dreaming and dedication, Danny McConaughy, a fitness advocate and owner of Hello Fitness located at 214 Line Ave. in Ellwood, has excitedly opened up his dream business in November 2016 – a fitness center.

Since Danny grew up with family members who were largely into fitness – specifically his grandma who was an Exercise Science Instructor at a South Carolina university – he felt as though it was his destiny to promote his passion of fitness and well-being.

“My gram told me one time that nothing seems to matter if you don’t have your health, and I guess that has always stuck with me, continually pushing me to pursue the dream I’ve had of opening my own gym,” he said.

McConaughy is proud to present an affordable gym with a month to month contract and no cancellation fees that focuses on convenience, while equally still focusing on wellness.

The gym is open for members 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, and members have the ability to utilize all of the equipment which includes several weight and cardio machines, full sets of barbells and dumbbells, and a jungle gym.

McConaughy makes sure the gym exceeds safety standards in order to provide members a comfortable workout environment, including locked doors with entrance given only to active key-card holding members, security cameras, and full access to a defibrillator, working landline, and wearable safety call buttons which can alert appropriate authorities when pressed; each safety device has instructions.

All community members are encouraged to join and anyone from age 14+ can become a member at the gym, with members 16+ allowed full access to the gym without parental supervision.

“Community members at all levels of fitness are welcome at Hello Fitness. From the beginner taking his/her first step on a treadmill, to a professional athlete, we strive to provide an environment where members encourage and respect one another,” McConaughy stated.

Despite the extensive amount of exercise equipment already offered at the gym, McConaughy expects to expand what the facility offers in the near future.

Without the help and encouragement of his family, friends, Duquesne University, the Borough of Ellwood City, and many others, Hello Fitness would not be where it’s at today, and McConaughy is very thankful for all of the support and looks forward to providing Ellwoodians an amazing gym experience.

Hello Fitness is a proud sponsor of the Beds for Little Heads organization, based out of Mercer PA., to benefit youth in the area.
