A large evergreen can be spotted in Ellwood’s downtown community plaza patiently awaiting decoration in preparation for Ellwood City’s very own annual Light Up Night.
The Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce hosts the Let There Be Lights weekend annually, typically consisting of an array of Christmas themed activities.
This year Light Up Night will be Dec. 2 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. in the community plaza. The lighting of the tree is scheduled for 6:30p.m. The finale to the evening will be a free public showing of the movie Elf, hosted at Lincoln High’s Auditorium starting at 8:15p.m.
On Saturday Dec. 4 there will be a Christmas Parade on Lawrence Ave. at 3:30p.m. and at 5:30p.m. the first night of Christmas in the Ewing Park will commence- free visits with Santa and carriage rides will be provided courtesy of the event hosts.
