Janice McClymonds, 74, of McClymonds Lane, Portersville passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the Evergreen Nursing Center following a lengthy illness.
Born March 3, 1942 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late William Cecil and Pearl Duncan Miller.
Janice worked as a floral designer at many local flower shops including the former Jean Flower Shop in Ellwood, Mussig’s in Zelienople, and Shackelford and Maxwell’s in Cranberry Twp. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School Class of 1961 and a member of the First Church of God. Janice enjoyed cooking for family dinners and decorating. She also enjoyed flower gardening.
Survivors include children Gail and Gwendolyn McClymonds, both of Portersville; brothers, William (Judy) Miller of Florida, Cecil (Pat) Miller of Ellwood City; grandchildren, Heather (Chad) Durosko, Alexis McClymonds; and great grandchildren, Nickolas and Mia.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gaye Lynn Zingaro in 2015, sisters, Pearl Brown and Catherine Stratton, and brothers, Charles Long and Donald White.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday November 25 from 1 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Pastor Phil Conklin will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Slippery Rock Church Cemetery.
