Frank R. Spirk, Sr., 71, of North Beaver Street, New Castle, passed away at his residence the morning of November 5, 2016.
Frank was born in Pittsburgh on October 3, 1945 to the late Nicholas and Catherine Krivoniak Spirk. He married the former Hazel Hedglin who survives at home. They were married 31 years. Frank worked in maintenance at the former St. Francis Hospital for 30 years. He was a devoted and active member of the Maitland Lane Free Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his daughter, Charmel Marie Spirk of Pittsburgh; his son, Frank R. Spirk, Jr. of New Castle; his sisters, Catherine Spirk of Florida, Margaret Spirk of North Carolina, Pauline Browning and Rita Gunning, both of Pittsburgh; and his brother Paul Spirk of Idaho.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday at the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 North Jefferson Street in New Castle.
Funeral services will be held at the TURNER-MYERS FUNERAL HOME, 208 N. Jefferson St., New Castle, on Thursday at 11 am, to be conducted by Rev. John Fraser of Maitland Lane Free Methodist Church.
Interment will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery.
