Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following:
Because it is Election Day, there will be no Family Laptime programs on Tuesday, November 8. Normal Laptime activities will resume on Tuesday, November 15. Call the library at 724-758-6458 with any questions.
Wednesday, November 9, at 10:00 a.m. — “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. “Coloring for Adults” is a new concept in helping to reduce the stresses of everyday life. Everyone is welcome, so call the library for more information.
Thursday, November 10, at 10:00 a.m. — Preschool Story Time, designed for children 3 years of age and older. Featured are stories, songs, finger plays and more. Registration is requested, so call the library for more information.
Thursday, November 10, at 3:00 p.m. – “Just 4 Girls,” a book discussion group designed for girls in 9th grade and up. The group will discuss the book, “Darkness Shows the Stars,” by Diana Peterfreund. Call the library for more information.
Thursday, November 10, at 6:00 p.m. — Adult Knitting Group meets at the library weekly. Members work on individual projects and provide their own materials. New members are always welcome, so call the library for more information.
The library will be closed on Friday, November 11, in observance of the Veterans’ Day Holiday. Normal hours will resume on Saturday, November 12.
Saturday, November 12, from 1 to 3 p.m. — “Star Wars Day,” featuring the Storm Troopers of the 501st Legion (plus a very special guest) will be held. A program by the Storm Troopers, photo ops, games, contests and much more will be featured. All Star Wars fans of every age should mark their calendars now!
This month’s “Movie Night for Adults” will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30. These monthly events are open to all area adults free of charge. New-to-DVD films are shown and refreshments are available. This is the last movie for the year, since no film is shown in December or in January. These monthly movie nights will resume in February.
