Art is a valuable component to learning and development; it not only allows for an enjoyable experience, but it favors the ability to creatively think.
There have been countless studies over centuries to prove the importance of art and how it positively affects specifically young, growing minds.
Unfortunately, we live in a society where art is becoming a thing of the past, but the Ellwood City Art Club is determined to continue the legacy of a literally-dying art.
Although art is a broad spectrum ranging from literature to painting, the art club hosts occasional drawing classes, hoping to encourage more citizens to appreciate the pleasures of this particular art form.
There is an upcoming drawing class, scheduled to be held in Room-T of Lincoln High School on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10a.m. to 12p.m. Ages 10+ are encouraged to participate.
