T & M Hardware Owner Elected to National Co-op Board of Directors

October 25, 2016, FORT WAYNE, IN – Tim Post, co-owner of T & M Hardware & Rental, has been elected to the Do it Best Corp. Board of Directors, the international home improvement co-op announced recently.

Tim Post and his wife Mary own T & M Hardware, with six stores in western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. The Posts purchased their first store in 1991, and they’ve grown the business to six successful locations with a strong focus on customer service, diverse product selection and a nationally recognized rental program. T & M Hardware & Rental is also celebrating its 25^th anniversary this month.

T & M Hardware & Rental joined Do it Best Corp. in 2001. As member-owners in Do it Best Corp., the Posts are part of the only U.S.-based, hardware, lumber and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry, supporting thousands of independent hardware store owners in the United States and more than 50 other countries.

Post was elected on October 9 at the co-op’s annual shareholders’ meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana and will serve a three-year term on the 12-member board. He fills the seat vacated by his close friend Dick McCoy, owner of eastern Ohio-based Orme Do it Best Hardware. McCoy passed away in March after a brief illness.
