Suspicious Man Trying to Lure Kids to Van
According to the police report, on October 17 police were dispatched to the area of Division and Fairview Ave. after receiving a call for a suspicious persons complaint. The caller advised the responding officer that after her granddaughter got off the school bus she was approached by a white man with black curly hair and a black beard in a black panel van asking her to come over to the van because he had something he wanted to show her. The juvenile said no to the man but he persisted and the juvenile ran home in hysterics. The suspicious man was not located, however, police have been checking the area for any possible suspicious activity.
Burglary at Boost Mobile
According to the police report, on October 12 at approximately 12a.m. police were dispatched to the Boost Mobile on Lawrence Ave. after their burglar alarm was activated. The responding officer was advised by the caller that there is a female in the building, however when the officer arrived no one was in the building. The officer made contact with two of the store workers and he questioned who they were and how they arrived on the scene so quickly. One of the workers gave a name even though the officer knew that was not her name and she told the officer that she and the other worker were at Uni-Mart getting cigarettes when they got a call from their boss saying the alarm was going off and when they drove past the scene they noticed a woman in the store so they called 911 and waited on the phone with dispatch until officials arrived. While the officer cleared the building he noticed the back door was not fully closed, there were no signs of forced entry, and the cash register was empty. The same who gave a false name said who ever broke in took “all $500” and proceeded to show the officer a picture of the intruder that was sent to her cell phone from the security camera which showed someone with possibly long hair and a visible tattoo on the back of their hand. The Boost Mobile district manager arrived and was trying to get the alarm company to send him the full security video; he was able to obtain security video from the work day and when the officers arrived but inexplicably, the time the robber was in the store there was no surveillance video. The officer asked the two workers to come to the station and give their sides of the story; the falsely named worker changed her story, she said she wasn’t actually at the Uni-Mart and she was actually at the Pour House but she didn’t want to tell the officer this to begin with because she didn’t want to get a DUI. The officer informed her that her stories do not add up and it looks very suspicious considering that there were no signs of forced entry, their arrival time, the unobtainable surveillance, and the chances of an intruder knowing exactly where the money was kept would be unlikely. She stated that she understood it looked suspicious and she agreed to a polygraph test to prove she was not involved. The other worker gave the exact same story as the worker, which made it seem like it was rehearsed. Someone matching the description of the suspect is being investigated.

She discovered four unused syringes located on the side of a building located at 400 Third Street while she was having her daughters senior pictures taken. Officers seized the syringes.
Juveniles Trying to Run Over Cats

Harassing cats…really? I called police when a neighbor threatened me and they did NOTHING! Maybe I should change my name to “Kitty”
Highest paid cops in the area and they do nothing.
